Reopening Plan: Everything You Need To Know

May 30, 2020 | Newsroom | 0 comments

Our commitment to the highest level of health and safety

Your health and safety is our top priority and in accordance with governmental orders and guidelines, we are happy to announce a carefully planned, phased approach to reopening our gym.

Our members are family – and family takes care of each other. We have put together new protocols to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for our members and staff. We are reopening our gym on Monday, June 1 at 5am. Please see our full reopening plan along with FAQs below. We also recommend reading the disclaimer at the bottom of the page.

What changes can I expect?

  • Small Group Setting – Small group training classes limited to 10 people per class* see class schedule here

The smaller more intimate class size  allows us to help you achieve your goals safely without risking injury. In the past  a larger class of 20-30 members makes that very hard to achieve.

Benefits of working out in a small group setting:

    • More personal attention.

    • Working out in a small group allows the trainer to offer corrections and appropriate modifications and progressions.
    • Variety. The workouts change and evolve as the group progresses.
    • Motivation. Having someone exercising right beside you often encourages you to keep going.
    • Support. Both the trainer and the other participants are there to help you to get through the challenges in front of you.
    • Faster results.
    • You’re all on the same team!
    • Fun. Yes, fun! The right exercise program done with friends can definitely be exciting and enjoyable.
  • 45 minute class duration
  • Reservations are required and can be made 48-hours prior to class** book your class
  • Cancellation fee enforced to ensure proper booking**

Cancellation is required at least two hours prior to the start of the registered class.

  • No-contact thermal scanning***

Temperature checks will be required upon entering the gym. If a person’s temp is greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, the member will not be allowed to workout or personal train. Any person exhibiting signs of illness (shortness of breath, cough, fatigue) will not be allowed to workout/train.

  • Social distancing – Must maintain at least six feet of distance from others at all times
  • Windows and doors will remain open whenever possible to maximize air flow and minimize touch points
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures enforced

In addition to strict, daily cleaning guidelines we will require equipment to be properly sanitized after every use.

  • Wash and sanitize your hands as often as possible
While we’re taking every precaution to keep our members and staff safe, we’re prepared for the possibility of a second wave.

In the event that there is a reported case of COVID-19 at Omalza Fitness and you were potentially in contact with the individual, you’ll be notified immediately. From there, we’ll take the proper safety precautions to disinfect and sanitize the studio from top to bottom.

With no way to predict the future, the best way we can prepare is to respond and evolve as the situation develops – with nothing but your health and safety in mind.
